Teaching from a non-Western perspective is the process of transmitting knowledges, techniques, values and skills whereupon a student might leave the University and move into the world in the effort to be of value and responsive to that world. Shifting the Paradigm requires off-book methods of learning. It recognizes creative practice as a valid form of research that opens avenues to multiple levels of information and awareness in a person toward themselves and their environment.
