ABOUT LMC SPACE

Las Maestras Center is intended primarily as a space for academic and culturally responsive events. Priority for use of the space will be given for LMC programming and studio classes taught by Professors Cherríe Moraga (Engl) and Celia Herrera Rodríguez (ChicStud).

As an Engaged Public Research Institute in the Division of Humanities & Fine Arts and the Division of Social Sciences we collaborate with various community groups, campus departments, faculty , and graduate and undergraduate student-led groups. The space is open for reservations upon availability.

Reservations
Reservations for the rooms can be made by filling out the form below. We begin accepting room reservation requests prior to the beginning of instruction in the academic quarter for which they are being requested. LMC will review your request and contact you regarding room availability.

Room setup
The LMC staff must be present to open and close the room. It is the responsibility of users to restore the room to its original condition. Room capacity: 30 max.

Audio-visual equipment
The LMC staff is unable to provide technical support for the equipment in the room. Technical support may be arranged through Kerr Hall: Instructional Development. The podium in the LMC Room is equipped with a built-in Mac Mini computer, HDMI and VGA inputs for laptop computers, and a DVD player.
